Situated between the Ria Formosa Nature Park and the Castro Marim Marshland Nature Reserve, Praia Verde House is nestled in a pine forest shaped by sea winds. The design of the house reflects the landscape’s textures, light, and materials, aiming to preserve the natural essence of the site.

The house is framed by two horizontal planes of exposed concrete: a floor slab resting lightly on the ground and a sun protection canopy extending from the roof. The roof is concealed under a sustainable layer of native plants, while thermowood slats arranged vertically evoke the appearance of pine bark as they age.

Large south-facing windows, subtly framed within the walls, open to stunning views of the pine trees and a reflective swimming pool.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the house features energy-efficient elements like high-performance insulation, a landscaped roof with moisture collection, and natural ventilation for cooling.
